LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WDRB) — A man has been arrested in connection to a social media threat made against a Louisville bar last week.

The Whirling Tiger in the Butchertown neighborhood had to cancel its Feed Louisville Benefit Concert over the weekend after receiving threats from someone someone saying they had explosive plans for the building and threatened to beat people's heads in with a hammer.

Trey E. Anderson, 24, of Louisville, was arrested Tuesday afternoon, Louisville Metro Police Spokesperson Aaron Ellis said. Anderson is being charged with terroristic threatening. He is expected to be arraigned on Wednesday.

The owners of The Whirling Tiger closed the bar and said it wasn't going to reopen until the matter was resolved. They told WDRB on Tuesday that the bar has since reopened.

“We opened Sunday night (because) the staff felt safe after learning the police were working on it and aware, in addition to the fact that his threats were specifically to that one event instead of us as a whole," the owners said.
