LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WDRB) -- A Louisville man is accused of sending sexually explicit content of children.
According to court documents, the Kentucky Office of the Attorney General began investigating after three separate cyber tips from the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children. A suspect allegedly uploaded numerous videos of child sexual abuse material to the internet while using the online app Kik.Â
Investigators captured the IP address, which was registered to Charles Polk, 46, at a home in the 1900 block of Manor House Drive, near Breckenridge Lane and Taylorsville Road in Louisville.Â
After a search warrant was obtained and executed, police found several other illicit videos and selfie images of Polk, according to court documents. Polk allegedly had nude content of children, well under 12 years old, involved in various sexual acts with other children or adults.
Polk was found at his home at Manor House Drive on April 8. According to court documents, digital evidence was seized from the residence and will be examined at a later date.
Court documents said Polk's charges stem from videos of child sexual abuse material he uploaded.Â
Polk was charged with distribution of matter portraying sexual performance by a minor under 12 years old. Additional charges are pending.
A judge set his bond Wednesday at $100,000.
