LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WDRB) -- Louisville Metro Police say they've arrested a man and charged him with attempted murder after a shooting.

It started Wednesday, just before 4 p.m.

Police say 33-year-old Demetrius Brown got into an argument with the victim. He left the scene, but eventually returned just after 9:30 p.m., and the two got into a fight. After the fight, police say Brown pulled a handgun out of his vehicle and, as the victim walked away, fired several shots at him.

The victim was shot once in the foot and was grazed in the back. He was taken to the hospital.

On Thursday, just before noon, police stopped Brown in a black 2001 Chevy SUV -- the same vehicle police say Brown was driving at the time of the shooting.

According to the arrest report, police found a 9 mm handgun under Brown's car seat. Brown allegedly admitted that it was the same gun he used to shoot the victim.

Police arrested Brown and charged him with attempted murder and receipt of stolen property. He is currently being held in Louisville Metro Corrections.
