LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WDRB) -- Officers arrested a man on animal cruelty charges in the Germantown neighborhood.
Ryan Carby, 23, arraigned on Friday, and has been accused of leaving a dead cat on a window seal.
Louisville Metro Police said it got several complaints about potential abandonment of a dog and a number of cats inside of a home on Goss Avenue last June.
A family member told police the animals were not abandoned.
During a welfare check, an officer reported seeing a dead cat in the window. A total of five dead cats were found in the home.
They were sent to be analyzed by University of Kentucky, determining the animals had been dead for 3 to 18 months.
