LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WDRB) -- A Louisville man is accused of trying to rob a bank in Shively on Wednesday morning.
Shively Police arrested 28-year-old Eric Harris at the Chase Bank at 3901 S. 7th St., just off Dixie Highway. Police said he entered the bank a little after 9 a.m. with a notepad. When a teller asked how she could help him, he scribbled a message that read: "No police, no security, 5K, 100, 5K 50. No fear, I leave."
After she read the note, investigators said the employee immediately locked her station and went to a back room. She told another employee, who pressed the alarm button to alert police.
Officers from the Shively Police Department responded first and took Harris into custody, according to the arrest slip. LMPD officers then took Harris to Louisville Metro Corrections.
A not guilty plea was entered on his behalf during a court appearance on April 4, and the judge set his bond at $50,000 cash.
Harris has another court appearance scheduled for April 12.
