CORYDON, Ind. (WDRB) -- A judge in Harrison County, Indiana, sentenced a Louisville man for his role in gunning down a husband and father at Caesars Southern Indiana earlier this year.Â
Antwaun Proctor was sentenced Monday to 45 years in prison with no possibility of parole after LilDon Williams was ambushed in the garage of the casino in the early morning hours of March 17, 2024.Â
Williams was shot by two men as he walked to his car in the parking garage at the casino in southern Indiana. Williams had just performed a concert in Louisville before driving to the casino with friends to celebrate.
Police said Proctor and another man followed Williams to the casino and waited three hours in the parking garage. As Williams left the building and approached his car alone, the men chased him down and opened fire with long guns.Â
Family members — including Williams' wife, Rannisha — were present for the sentencing, and she had a chance to speak to her husband's killer.Â
"I hate you," she said. "I will always hate you."
Harrison County Prosecutor Otto Schalk said Williams' murder may have been a "revenge killing" related to another death but did not elaborate.
"I'm going to not opine fully on what I think the motive is," Schalk said, noting that the case is still open. "I think that there was some knowledge of each other. I think there had been a previous killing, and I think this was, in part, a revenge killing."
He also said the similar charges against a second suspect are expected sometime this week.Â
"Today was a big step as we ultimately achieved justice, partially, for LilDon Williams," Schalk said. "There's still a second shooter, but I expect that charges will be filed imminently."
Asked what charges he expected file against the second suspect, Schalk said that they would likely mirror Proctor's. Proctor was charged with murder and obstruction of justice.
This is not the final piece to the puzzle," Schalk added. "This was just part one. I expect part two will be happening before the end of the week."
Rannisha Williams said she is still trying to get on with the grieving process.Â
"They took my daughter's everything, her best friend," Rannisha Williams said. "I'm tired of going to court and getting the phone calls from police. I'm ready to start my grieving process."
She said her husband was known as a hard-working man and caring father. He worked at Ford for more than 10 years.
"It just seems unreal," Rannisha Williams said.
She called him on the morning of March 17 to drop off their daughter, but he didn't answer.Â
"I kept calling and calling," Rannisha Williams said. "He never not answers my calls."
Louisville Metro Police Department cameras, flock cameras and cellphone pings helped lead investigators to Proctor. Â
