LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WDRB) — A Louisville man was arrested in connection to a September shooting in Louisville's Southside neighborhood.

Police arrested 51-year-old Eduardo Alemaniza-Aguirre Sr. on Tuesday, charging him with assault and possession of a handgun by a convicted felon in the Sept. 17 shooting.

At the time, Louisville Metro Police said officers responded to the reported shooting in the 6600 block of Southside Drive. Police found a man in the parking lot of a business who had been shot, and he was taken to UofL Hospital with injuries not thought to be life-threatening.

Alemaniza-Aguirre is being held at Louisville Metro Corrections.
