LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WDRB) — Louisville Metro Police officers carried out a major drug and gun bust.
LMPD said in a post on social media their First Division Squad 1 officers seized a large amount of cash, drugs and guns in a recent operation, resulting in a "significant arrest" thanks to multiple community tips.
Police arrested 40-year-old Dwight Woodley in connection to the seized items, the post said.
Along with cash and stolen firearms, the bust included synthetic drugs, fentanyl, meth packaged for sale and a "substantial amount" of drug paraphernalia.
Woodley faces charges of being a convicted felon in possession of a handgun, receiving a stolen firearm, trafficking in fentanyl and methamphetamine, trafficking in marijuana and synthetic drugs, using restricted ammunition during a felony and possession of cocaine and other controlled substances.
Woodley was arraigned April 18 and entered a not guilty plea. He is being held on a $100,000 cash bond.
