LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WDRB) — A man was arrested Saturday in connection with a June shooting in Louisville's Russell neighborhood.

According to Louisville Metro Police, 18-year-old Joseph McNealy III was arrested in connection with the June 13, 2026, shooting in the 2300 block of West Chestnut Street.

Police said a man was found at the location with a gunshot wound. He was taken to UofL Hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.

Court documents state McNealy allegedly shot the victim multiple times and fled the scene.

McNealy appeared in court Monday, where he was facing charges in a separate incident. His bond in the other case was originally set at $25,000 but was raised to $100,000 on Monday after the shooting charge was added.

A mugshot for McNealy wasn't made available.
