LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WDRB) -- A man will head back to Missouri after being arrested in Louisville for allegedly murdering his brother.
David Wayne Sharp, 58, from Middlebrook, Missouri was arrested late Friday night at a Louisville motel and is facing murder, armed criminal action and vehicle theft charges. He appeared before a Jefferson County judge on Monday.
Sharp waived extradition and will be sent back to Iron County, Missouri, where police are investigating a homicide. The Iron County Sheriff's Office found 65-year-old Derl Sharp dead.
Authorities said Friday they were looking for a stolen pickup truck as a "vehicle of interest." Sharp was booked into Metro Corrections shortly after 4 a.m. Saturday. The arrest was made with assistance from Kentucky State Police and Louisville Metro Police.
