LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WDRB) -- A man shot in Louisville's Russell neighborhood on Thursday night has died.
The shooting happened at about 7 p.m. on Muhammad Ali Blvd. near 21st Street, according to Louisville Metro Police.
LMPD spokesman John Bradley said that officers were called to the area on a report and found the man, who had been shot.
The victim was taken to UofL Hospital in downtown Louisville with what police said were serious injuries. LMPD said on Friday morning that the man died at the hospital from his injuries.
The name of the victim has not been released.
The Homicide Unit is taking over the investigation. Bradley said there are no known suspects.
