LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WDRB) -- Police arrested a Miami man Tuesday and charged him with the murder of a Louisville man near Iroquois Park.

Liobys Caro-Mena is charged with the murder of Alain Garcia Perez, who was found dead Sunday on Inverness Avenue, just off New Cut Road.

Louisville Metro Police spokesman John Bradley said Monday that officers found Perez, 45, "obviously deceased from apparent injuries due to blunt force trauma."

A police investigation discovered that Perez's car was missing and in the Miami area. Caro-Mena was in the car and led Miami-Dade police on a high-speed chase in the city. He was eventually arrested and charged with murder, grand theft of a vehicle, fleeing, leaving the scene of a crash and reckless driving.
