LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WDRB) -- A 59-year-old man was shot and killed in Meade County on Sunday night, according to Kentucky State Police.
KSP said police responded to a shooting at a home on Mountain Lane around 10:11 p.m. Police said 51-year-old David Gex called police after he shot Richard Hernandez during a verbal altercation.
Gex, of Vine Grove, was taken into custody without incident once police arrived on scene. Hernandez, of Irvington, was pronounced dead at the scene by Meade County Coroner's Office.
Gex was charged with murder and booked in the Meade County Detention Center.
