LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WDRB) — A man has died after a shooting in Louisville's Klondike neighborhood.
Around 11:30 Wednesday evening, Louisville Metro Police were called to the 3000 block of Mid Dale Lane off Klondike Lane on a reported shooting, department spokesperson Dwight Mitchell said.
Once on scene, police found a man who had been shot. He was transported to University of Louisville Hospital where he later died, Mitchell said.
The Jefferson County Coroner identified the man Thursday as 23-year-old Eric Watson II, of Louisville.
Police found a suspect barricaded in his apartment, which is in the same complex the shooting occurred. Mitchell said the suspect came out of his apartment, and there were no other injuries.
LMPD's Homicide Unit is investigating, and said charges against the suspect are pending and all parties are accounted for.
