LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WDRB) ā A Michigan man was shot and killed Wednesday evening in Louisville's Parkland neighborhood.
Just before 5 p.m. Wednesday, Louisville Metro Police responded to a report of a shooting in the 3000 block of Greenwood Avenue, department spokesperson Aaron Ellis said.
When police arrived, officers found a man who was shot outside the location and rendered aid. EMS arrived and transported the man to UofL Hospital where he died, Ellis said.
The man was identified Thursday by the Jefferson County Coroner as 30-year-old Shemar Shackelford, of Detroit, Michigan.
