LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WDRB) -- A shooting in the parking garage of the Brown Hotel in downtown Louisville early Monday sent a man to the hospital. 

It happened just before 2:30 a.m. May 5, according to a news release from Louisville Metro Police. That's when LMPD officers responding to a shooting report at the hotel found the victim in the parking garage, with a gunshot wound to his leg. 

He was taken to UofL Health Hospital and is expected to survive, according to the release. 

Investigators with LMPD's Non-Fatal Shooting Unit are looking for potential witnesses and searching for the shooter.
