LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WDRB) -- A driver crashed through temporary fencing at 5 a.m. Saturday outside Churchill Downs on Kentucky Derby morning.

Louisville Metro Police spokesperson Sgt. Matt Sanders said the driver popped her tire on the fencing as she crashed into it at 4th Street and Central Avenue, which is just outside the infield gate.

WDRB's Keith Kaiser was there just after it happened and captured the aftermath in the video above.

Sanders said traffic was shut down shortly thereafter in the area before the gates to the track opened for the day.
