LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WDRB) -- A man was shot inside of a vehicle in the Portland neighborhood Wednesday afternoon, according to Louisville Metro Police.
Dwight Mitchell, a spokesman for LMPD, said officers responded to the area of 31st and Bank streets around 4:30 p.m.
Police found said a man in his vehicle was involved in a drive-by shooting. The victim then drove off to get away and hit another vehicle.
Mitchell said the driver and those inside the vehicle where the shots were fired fled the scene.
According to police, the man who was shot was taken to UofL Hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.Â
