LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WDRB) -- An alleged suspect in a Meade County fatal shooting has been found dead after officers spent hours searching for him.
According to Kentucky State Police, troopers were called around 1 p.m. to a home on Simpson Lane in Ekron after a report of a person found dead inside.
Troopers found 55-year-old Mary Crase, of Brandenburg, dead from at least one gunshot wound. Police said the suspect, identified as 45-year-old Scott Hornback, of Irvington, fled the scene.
Just after 11 p.m., KSP confirmed that Hornback was found dead by officers. It's not clear at this time how he died or where he was found.
