LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WDRB) -- A Louisville judge set a $500,000 cash bond for a man charged in connection to the death of a teenager in a double shooting earlier this year.

Shawn Grady is charged with complicity to commit murder, attempted murder and assault. Louisville Metro Police said Grady and two juveniles were involved in the shooting Feb. 9 at California Park.

Investigators said Grady and the two juvenile suspects were playing basketball with the three victims when they opened fire. Police said a 14-year-old boy was killed, and another boy was hurt.

Grady was already facing charges of possession of marijuana and possession of a machine gun in Floyd County, Ind., before his arrest in Louisville on July 16. He is due back in Floyd County court on those charges on Aug. 18.

During his arraignment in Louisville on July 17, the judge appointed a public defender for Grady. His next court date is scheduled for July 25.
