LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WDRB) -- Louisville Metro Police are investigating after a teenager was shot and killed Thursday night in the city's Phoenix Hill neighborhood.
Officers were called to the 500 block of South Shelby Street around 10:30 p.m. on a reported shooting, LMPD Spokesperson John Bradley said. That's near East Madison Street and East Chestnut Street.
Once on scene, police found a "teenaged juvenile male" with a gunshot wound. Bradley said officers attempted life-saving measures at the scene before the victim was taken to University Hospital where he died.
LMPD's Homicide Unit is investigating, but has no suspects and has made no arrests.
