Woman faces murder charge, after victim from Saturday shooting dies

LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WDRB) -- Charges have been upgraded to murder for a woman who allegedly shot a man early Saturday.

According to an arrest report, 22-year-old Mykeya Pruitt admitted to shooting a man in the head on McKindree Court.

The Jefferson County Coroner's Office identified the victim as 27-year-old Ahmed Rahman. He died Monday morning.

Police said Pruitt told them she shot Rahman and that she removed bloody clothing to hide her involvement.

Pruitt now faces a murder charge along with previous charges of assault, tampering with physical evidence and disorderly conduct.
