LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WDRB) -- A woman was taken to the hospital after being shot near Wyandotte Park Saturday evening.

Dwight Mitchell, a spokesman for Louisville Metro Police. said officers responded to the area of Oleanda Avenue and Taylor Boulevard on a reported shooting.

Police found a woman who was shot. She was taken to UofL Hospital with non-life threatening injuries. The original area of the shooting was at Beecher Street and Henry Avenue, police said.

According to police, when the woman was trying to leave in her vehicle after being shot she hit a man who was driving a moped.

He was taken to UofL Hospital with non-life threatening injuries.

LMPD's Non-Fatal Shooting Unit is investigating.
