LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WDRB) — A former North Vernon, Indiana, police officer has been arrested on child pornography charges.
In a news release on Tuesday, Indiana State Police Sgt. Stephen Wheeles said 22-year-old Jaydan Vanosdol was arrested after a two-month long investigation.Â
The investigation into Vanosdol was launched in August when allegations of inappropriate conduct were made against him, Wheeles said in the release.
Throughout the investigation, police discovered Vanosdol starting talking with a female juvenile in July through a social media app. Police also discovered the two were sending nude photos to each other through the app.
Vanosdol was arrested Tuesday and is being held in the Jennings County Jail. He was suspended from the North Vernon Police Department in August when the investigation began, and was fired from the department before being arrested.Â
