LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WDRB) -- A woman was taken to the hospital after being shot in the hand near West Broadway on Sunday evening, according to Louisville Metro Police.

LMPD officers responded to a shooting near 41st and Broadway around 5:30 p.m. Police later identified the scene of the shooting in the 600 block of South 44th Street.

When police arrived on scene, they found a woman who had been shot in the hand. She is expected to survive, according to police. 

LMPD's Domestic Violence Unit will lead the investigation. 

Police believe all parties have been accounted for in the shooting.
