Woman taken to the hospital after shooting in Chickasaw neighborhood, Louisville police say

LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WDRB) -- A woman was taken to the hospital after being shot in the Chickasaw neighborhood Saturday night, according to Louisville Metro Police.

Police responded to a shooting in the 4000 block of Garland Avenue around 9:15 p.m. Police said a 35-year-old woman was shot on the leg.

She was taken to the hospital with what is believed to be non-life-threatening injuries.

LMPD's Non-Fatal Shooting Unit will investigate the incident.
