LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WDRB) -- Students in Clarksville were treated to a Thanksgiving meal Wednesday as part of an annual tradition.
Clarksville Community School Corporation offered students a Thanksgiving meal for the 15th consecutive year. Students met in cafeterias for the meal.
"We started this because we felt that many of our students don't get the opportunity to experience a traditional Thanksgiving Meal and that they would enjoy it," Melissa Pixley, the school district's food services director, said in a news release Wednesday. "We are honored and thankful that we can make this happen each year for our school community. It is a special day for all at Clarksville, students and staff alike."
According to a news release, cafeterias were decorated with Thanksgiving items.Ā
