LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WDRB) -- A former southern Indiana high school counselor has been sentenced for having a sexual relationship with a student.
Brittany Eisner pleaded guilty to child seduction and contributing to the delinquency of a minor earlier this month. Court documents reveal the former Floyd Central High School counselor had sexual contact with a student several times, and gave the student alcohol and vaping products.
Eisner was fired in October 2024 for "neglect of duty and immorality" after a district investigation found her "unfit to supervise students," NAFCS Superintendent Dr. Travis Madison said at the time.
During her sentencing hearing in Clark Circuit Court Monday morning, Eisner was ordered to serve two years in the Indiana Department of Corrections for two counts of child seduction. Those sentences will run concurrently. She received a 1-year suspended sentence "upon strict terms of probation" for contributing to the delinquency of a minor.Â
Eisner was also ordered to have no contact with the victim, and must register as a sex offender.Â
Court records show Eisner is still facing child seduction charges in Floyd County. An Aug. 7 court appearance is scheduled for those charges.Â
