LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WDRB) -- Local high school students will soon have the opportunity to begin their nursing education while completing their high school diplomas.
Galen College of Nursing and Norton Healthcare announced Tuesday they are expanding their partnership to launch the Career-Ready Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN) program.
This will be offered to high school seniors in Jefferson, Bullitt and Oldham counties.
Students can begin nursing courses through Galen's ADN curriculum in January 2026. The goal is for students to graduate high school and be able to complete their ADN with Galen by December 2027.
“Norton Healthcare and Galen College of Nursing have worked side-by-side for many years to strengthen healthcare in the Louisville community,” said Dr. Kelli Selvage, Dean of Galen’s Louisville Campus, in a news release. “This Career-Ready Program is another powerful example of what’s possible when we come together with a shared commitment to preparing the next generation of nurses.”
Applications open on Sept. 2, 2025. For more information, click here.
