LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WDRB) -- Families and students have until Thursday, June 6 to complete a transportation verification form that Jefferson County Public Schools will use as the school district finalizes its transportation plan for next year.
The form is critical to establishing transportation plans for students, according to an email sent by JCPS to families. To fill out the form, click here.
People are asked to contact a student's current school if any of their contact information has changed like email, phone number or address.
The state's largest school district said to families the most up-to-date and correct information is needed as transportation plans for the 2024-25 school year are finalized.Â
The district is going from nine start times to three: 7:30 a.m., 8:40 a.m., and 9:40 a.m. at about 40 of its schools. The school board voted 4-3 to pass the changes during its meeting in May.
For other families who have to make tough decisions for next school year, JCPS said the transfer window is open, and it's the same process it has been. Families who want to apply for a transfer can fill out the application by clicking here.
