LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WDRB) -- A group of Louisville high school students was surprised with a trip to Germany for a leadership summit.

Hip Hop Into Learning, a hip-hop-based educational organization with well-known programs like The Real Young Prodigys, announced 12 of its high school students will travel to Berlin. The students will participate in the Education First Global Leadership Summit from July 6-10, 2025.

According to a news release Tuesday, nearly 900 students from around the world will attend the international conference. Students will participate in group projects and working alongside peers to find innovative solutions to challenges.

"HHN2L is a non-profit organization here to support the youth and explore their creativity," Nyree Clayton-Taylor, co-founder and executive director of HHN2L, said in a news release. "This is a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity for our students. We are asking for support from the community."

Ramona Dallum, senior vice president of community leadership at Community Foundation of Louisville, committed $5,000 to the trip.

Education First is a global organization that provides students with immersive educational experiences.
