LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WDRB) -- Oldham County Schools is giving employees a raise.

Monday, the school board approved a 7% pay raise for salaried employees and a $2 raise for hourly workers.

The raise goes into effect in July. 

This is in addition to another pay bump for the staff, which will also get a yearly step increase, which is typically around 1%.

Oldham County Schools credits conservative budgeting and an efficient use of taxpayer money for the raises.
