LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WDRB) -- Some students in Shelby County officially started the new school year Wednesday, with construction underway at Simpsonville and Heritage Elementary Schools.
Superintendent Josh Matthews is asking parents to fill out the online registration for the Stop Finder app.Â
The app allows parents and students to track the location of their school bus, helping to eliminate confusion about late arrivals and routes.
Shelby County Schools Superintendent Josh Matthews said the district will be using the app more this year than last year.Â
"We're going to need some patience from our students and staff," Matthews said. "There's gonna be some times that it's going to be a little noisy, and we're going to have to be displaced for just a little bit."
Matthews said because of the advance in technology, the district will no longer be publishing bus routes in the newspaper.
