LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WDRB) -- Highland Sod Farms in Elizabethtown, Kentucky, has transformed its fields into a massive concert venue, trading crops for country music for Labor Day weekend.

The farm is hosting its inaugural Highland Farms Country Fest starting Friday.

Thousands of fans are expected to pack the fields this weekend as big names in country music take the stage.

Organizers said months of planning went into turning the family farm into a festival site, complete with food, drinks and plenty of space for two nights of performances.

Brantley Gilbert will headline Saturday and Sam Hunt on Friday. Other artists attending include Tyler HubbardMitchell TenpennyTucker WetmoreAshley Cooke, and The Marshall Tucker Band.
