LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WDRB) -- A fire damaged four buildings in a Fern Creek strip mall early Monday.Â
It happened in the 6500 block of Bardstown Road around 8:30 a.m., according to a post on the Fern Creek Fire Department's Facebook page and a news release from Dewayne Hutchens, the public information officer for the department.Â
Fern Creek Fire & EMS responded to the blaze, along with Jeffersontown Fire & EMS and Okolona Fire Protection District. When crews arrived they found moderate smoke coming from one of the businesses. It took 20 firefighters approximately 10 minutes to gain control of the fire.
There were no injuries to civilians or firefighters, according to the release. Officials are working to determine the case.
One business suffered heavy smoke and heat damage, while three other businesses suffered minor smoke damage.
