First Norton Healthcare baby of 2024 born just after midnight

Amara Simon was born at 12:09 a.m. to parents Emily and Josiah Simon of Ramsey, Indiana.

LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WDRB)- The first Norton Healthcare baby of 2024 was born at Norton Clark Hospital this morning.

Parents Emily and Josiah Simon of Ramsey, Indiana welcomed baby Amara into the world at 12:09 a.m.. Amara weighed 8 pounds, 5.6 ounces and measured 20 inches long.

Then in Louisville, Skylynn Bol Heredia was born at 1:51 a.m. at Norton Women’s & Children’s Hospital. Skylynn's parents are Yanitza Heredia Natal and Rodolfo Bol Argon. The baby weighed 8 pounds, 5.9 ounces and measured 21 inches long.

Haley Craft also gave birth to Dakota Sky at 5:26 a.m. at Norton Hospital. Dakota weighed 6 pounds, 13.4 ounces and measured 19.5 inches long.

Caregivers at Norton Healthcare’s three birthing locations deliver more than 9,100 babies a year. Norton says more babies are born at Norton Women’s & Children’s Hospital than any other hospital in Kentucky.
