LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WDRB) -- A former Bullitt County Probation and Parole officer has been arrested.
Ron Tyler was booked in the Bullitt County Detention Center Thursday night. He's charged with rape, sodomy and official misconduct. Kentucky State Police is investigating Tyler for sex abuse involving several women while in his probation and parole officer position.
According to an arrest warrant, Tyler assigned to one of his victims as her probation officer. On one occasion, as the woman was reporting to Tyler, he ordered her to meet him behind the Baymont Hotel in Brooks, Kentucky.
When she arrived, Tyler allegedly ordered her to perform a sexĀ act on him in his vehicle.Ā
Authorities say the woman knew he had a gun, and was in fear of her life.
On another occasion, police say Tyler followed the woman to a nearby gas station and ordered her to meet him in a room at the Econo Lodge Inn on East Blue Lick Road in Brooks, Kentucky.Ā
Once inside a room, the woman said Tyler had sexual relations with her. She was allegedly injured during this encounter.
The woman told police Tyler warned her that if she ever told anyone, he would send her to prison.
The state fired Tyler over the allegations.
This week, the State Probation and Parole Director was also fired over his handling of Tyler's case.
