LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WDRB) -- Louisville is mourning the death of a former news reporter and talk show host.

Charla Young died in a rollover crash in Houston, Texas over the weekend. Local reports say her Mercedes SUV drove into a ditch, flipped and took out a fence and a power box before landing in someone's yard.

The crash happened around 3 p.m. on May 10. The cause remains unclear.

Deputies say Young became trapped in the vehicle and died at the scene.

Many may remember her as a longtime local consumer reporter. She also hosted the "Power to Change" talk show on WDRB in 2012.

After leaving television she built a women's empowerment brand and travel business called "Power to Exhale."

Young was 52 years old.
