LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WDRB) -- A new rehab center is now open for those overcoming spinal cord and brain injuries and stroke.

Frazier Rehabilitation Institute just opened a new Center for Advanced Neuro-Rehab. It's attached to the UofL Health-Jewish Hospital on Abraham Flexner Way in downtown Louisville.

The center provides impatient and outpatient services for patients with traumatic brain or spinal cord injuries, or who have suffered a stroke.

"Got a lot of great things to say about the therapists here," said John Bennett, a stroke survivor who has been part of the outpatient program. "They are the heroes and the champions of the world. I'm so excited to get my life back."

Patients have access to physical, occupational and speech therapy, along with psychology, spiritual care, case management and wellness programming.
