LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WDRB) -- The Grammy and Tony award winning musical Kinky Boots will be performed in Louisville later this month.
There are still eight performances of the show at the Henry Clay Theatre. Kinky Boots is the story of an English shoemaker working to save his father's factory.
He meets an American drag queen named Lola who gives his business a higher calling. Together, they discover that they are not so different after all.
"It's definitely a family show," Zachary Boone, Kinky Boots director, said on WDRB Mornings. "We have kids in the cast. The big message is just meeting people and accepting them for who they are."
Pandora Productions and Redline Performing Arts have teamed up to bring the show to Louisville. The show goes through April 21.
