GSI Commerce hiring 3,000 seasonal workers

LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WDRB) -- If you're looking for a job. there are 3,000 up for grabs that might just fit your needs.

Kelly Services is looking for people to work first, second and weekend shifts in a variety of jobs. Its currently hiring seasonal distribution workers at GSI Commerce, an eBay company.

"What we do is we enable great brands out there to ship product, to put it on a website, to do customer service and also to provide peak opportunities," said GSI Commerce Craig Hayes.

GSI Commerce has plans to about 2,000 people in Louisville and another 1,000 in Shepherdsville.

The jobs pay between $9.00 to $9.50 per hour and paychecks are issued weekly. These temporary jobs have the potential to become full-time, and full-time hires immediately receive a pay increases and benefits like 401(k), health insurance, tuition reimbursement and more.

In 2011 GSI Commerce hired about 10 percent of the temporary workers for full-time work.

A job fair is planned for Tuesday, Oct. 9, from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. at 9001 Cane Run Road. Warehouse experience is a plus, but not a requirement.
