LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WDRB) -- Thousands of people lined the streets of New Albany on Saturday to kick-off one of the area's biggest events.
The Harvest Homecoming parade went through Vincennes, Market and Banks Streets.
There were floats, vintage cars and local bands all to celebrate the fall season. For some, it's an annual tradition and they don't miss it.
"This is one of the most awesomest things that goes on in New Albany," spectator David Coe said. "It happens once a year. We always pray for good weather and I think that is what we got. They bring the little girls down here, let them get a little candy, just a good ole time."
Festival rides start Tuesday and booth days start on Thursday. Harvest Homecoming usually brings in about 500,000 people over the four day weekend.
