Floyd County, Ind. offering free hepatitis A shots for high risk groups

LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WDRB) - The hepatitis A outbreak is growing in Kentucky.

Kentucky has now recorded more than 2,000 reported cases of hepatitis A since the outbreak began in November 2017, according to an article posted on WKYT

The two most recent weeks of data show 80 new cases each week. So far, 14 people have died from hep A in Kentucky, and more than 1,100 people have been hospitalized.

Symptoms of hepatitis A are fatigue, decreased appetite, stomach pain, nausea, darkened urine, pale stools and jaundice.
