LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WDRB) — A 14-year-old boy was charged with murder after a shooting in Louisville’s Parkland neighborhood on Dec. 28.

Aaron Ellis, a spokesperson for Louisville Metro Police, said Norton Healthcare West contacted officers just before 6 a.m. about a teenage boy, believed to be 15, who was brought to the hospital by private means after being shot.

The boy died at the hospital, police said.

According to police, the shooting occurred at a home in the 3200 block of West Kentucky Street.

In an update Wednesday, police said a 14-year-old was arrested and charged with murder, possession of a handgun by a minor and receiving stolen property.
