LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WDRB) -- A 56-year-old man was arrested after allegedly shooting a woman in Louisville's Park Hill neighborhood.
Aaron Ellis, a spokesperson for Louisville Metro Police, said a woman was brought to UofL Hospital on Sunday, Dec. 28, with non-life-threatening injuries after being shot in the arm.
Police said the shooting happened in the 2200 block of Wilson Avenue and Kenneth Beals was arrested in connection to the incident. According to court documents, the victim told police her aunt saw Beals eating a snack she brought for her children as she was leaving.
The victim attempted to enter the house as Beals was leaving and she confronted him about eating the food, court documents state. Beals told the victim "Yes, I ate your snack and it was good" then shot her in the arm, according to court documents.
Beals was charged with assault and possession of a handgun by a convicted felon. His bond was set at $5,000, and he appeared in court Monday for arraignment.
