LOS ANGELES, Calif. (WDRB) -- Isaac Brown, Louisville's star running back who ran for more than 2,000 yards and 18 touchdowns in his first two seasons, says he is entering the transfer portal.
Brown is expected to be one of the top players in the portal this cycle, but says he will go in with a "do not contact" tag.
In a statement posted to his social media, Brown said, "I would like to thank God for my family, teammates and Louisville fans who have been supporting me since committing in 2022. The community, the fans, the staff has became a family that I could rely on. My teammates are my brothers for life, and Louisville will always be in my heart."

This morning, when a Louisville fan tweeted that Louisville needs to "throw a bag and tell him to come home," Louisville football personnel, recruiting and portal director Vince Marrow replied, "ain't going to happen buddy."
Brown's departure marks a change of era for Louisville's offense. He was the team's most dangerous big-play threat this season, though he battled injuries late in the year. A first-round NFL prospect, he is one of the more talented running backs the program has ever had.
"I am thankful to be able to play this game and thankful for the opportunities that will allow me to continue to develop my craft and chase my dreams of playing in the NFL someday," Brown posted.
Brown's announcement comes on the heels of another running back, Duke Watson, saying he would enter the portal on Wednesday. Watson struggled with injuries for most of 2025, playing in only seven games, but ran for just under 600 yards and averaged nearly nine yards per carry in 2024 as a freshman.
The transfer portal officially opens on Friday.
