LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WDRB) — The Highlands Festival returned to Louisville Saturday after a 7-year hiatus.
It stretched along Baxter Avenue between Broadway and Highlands Avenue. It focused on local businesses and nonprofits.
There was live music, food and local vendors. PG & J's Dog Bar also hosted a fundraiser for the Kentucky Humane Society.
"We are completely nonprofit so rely on donors and also big events like this help us help people who have animals in need," said Rosemary Cundiff-Brown with KHS. "Whether that's having to surrender or they need pet food or maybe they need low-cost veterinary care."
The event also featured a classic car show and was a way for new businesses to be introduced to the area.
