LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WDRB) -- A homeless man in Michigan has created a website to accept donations via credit cards.
Abe Hagenston says he's made a business out of being homeless.
People can use the website to hire Hagenston for odd jobs, but he says he still accepts donations. Hagenston says he also plans to start a non-profit organization to benefit homeless people.
:"You take half the adults in America -- it's about 100 million people," Hagenston said. "And if those people gave a penny a day for a year, that adds up to $365 million. I'd like to see America start granting homeless people a real shot."
Hagenston says he bought a device called the "Square" to accept credit cards on the street, but his cell phone was stolen. Hagenston still accepts cash.Â
