LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WDRB) -- Louisville is no stranger to the world of boxing and two professional boxers were honored Sunday with their own street signs.

Boxers Marvin Hart and Greg Page received honorary street signs by Metro Councilman Phillip Baker (D-6) and Honorary Ambassador Barbara Sexton Smith.

Hart Secured his place in history in 1905 as the first of four World Heavyweight Championship from Louisville

Page earned his distinction as Louisville’s fourth World Boxing Association Heavyweight Champion, claiming his victory in 1984.

"There is going to be one area that you can see on Northwest and South streets and east or west of the great champions that Louisville produced," Baker said. "I believe that Louisville is the greatest city in America. What better way to celebrate our accomplishments and embody what Louisville is by now having our champions row."

The signs are located at the corner of W. Muhammad Ali Blvd and South Second Street.
