LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WDRB) -- With basketball season just weeks away, we're about to see a lot more of Louisville head basketball coach Chris Mack, but we wanted to introduce you to the MVP in the other House of Cards, his wife.
Christi Mack took us on a tour of their home that revealed one Cardinal rule and the collection that may make many women envious.
The Cardinal emblem can be seen throughout the Macks'Â Prospect home, where the Cards and family are top priorities.Â
The Macks are now raising their kids, 3-1/2 old Brayden, 13-year-old Lainee and 12-year-old Hailee, in Louisville, the city where Christi grew up.
"Where we're living was farmland," Christi recalled of her childhood. "Things are so built up and changed, but that's what makes it fun, not coming back to the same place. Coming to a better place."
Christi grew up in south Louisville and played basketball for Holy Cross High School before meeting her future husband through the sport.Â

"We dated for three months, and he proposed," Christi said. "And this is where we are now."
From pirates to pink walls, the personalities of the kids and their parents come through in the decorations they choose for their rooms.Â
Tucked into Christi's room are two of her favorite things, and one reveals her secret splurge: tennis shoes on one side and dress shoes on the other.
"IÂ do have a little bit of a shoe problem," Christi said.Â
Outnumbering the shoes are the family pictures lining the walls.
"IÂ love to take pictures, and you'll see lots of them," Christi said. "That's how we spend our time, and you'll see that most things hanging are experiences we've had as a family."
Trips to the beach and their lake house are some of their favorite ways to spend time together. But Christi said finding time together gets tougher once basketball season starts.

"There are a lot of obligations and lots of perks and sometimes downfalls too," Christi said. "It can be tough for them sometimes. Wins, losses, (the children) will certainly hear it from everyone. And I take that side of making sure they're protected."
Christi does have specific rules when it comes to how much time her children spend on the phone and social media.Â
"This is my other favorite space. So we have this charging station, and we have rules with our phones: nothing past 9 p.m.," Christi said. "They're on the charging station until school the next day, and no social media."
Christi said they have found a winning formula for combining family with a high-profile job.
"It's important to Chris that he's able to really not separate work and family," Christi said. "He intertwines them, which has worked for us in the past."
That means taking the girls on recruiting trips and welcoming the players into their home.
"We've had them over twice, sometimes for recruiting visits," she said. "I want to make sure our house is inviting to them. They become a part of our family, and I want our home to be their home."
Â
The girls say basketball season is their favorite time of year, and both girls are following in their parents footsteps of playing basketball. They say mom and dad are still in the game too.
Hailee rated her parents on how well they play after we asked who was better.Â
"Full court, probably mom," Hailee said. "Half court, dad. Mom's more scrappy, and dad's more like three-pointer."
But they're all on the same team when it comes to the Cards.Â
Christie said there are no plans for future coaching jobs after this one.Â
"I do know this is the end for us, and this is going to be where we finish out," Christi said. "It's nice."
